| Option 1: Tour St Mary's and St Aloysius |
St Mary’s College and St Aloysius College are located in the city of Adelaide, and between them educate over 2000 students from Reception (5 years old) to Year 12. Both schools pride themselves on educating young women who actively engage in creating a more just world. Through social justice, student leadership, service learning and immersion programs, students become aware of the challenges facing our society, both locally and globally, and develop confidence in tackling these challenges in meaningful ways.
The tour will profile some of these programs and will involve interaction with key staff and students in each school.
|
| Option 2: Tour St Peter's Girls, Loreto College and Mary MacKillop College |
St Peter’s Girls’ School
In 2017 the School built a new Middle School and Library. The ‘wish list’ included natural light, transparency so that our teaching and learning would be visible, flexibility, a design that would bring the ‘outside in’. Our Head of Middle School will show you through the new facility and talk about the learning framework which underpins the design.
Mary MacKillop
Tour our Year 12 common room and study area. The Deputy Principal, Helen Steele will give a short presentation on developing student leadership.
Loreto
Our tour will focus on incorporating outdoor learning experiences into the curriculum to develop children’s learning in Junior School and Early Years settings.
